We care for Google so much that we take each and every step deliberately. We select keywords, write content, use pictures, create Meta tags and make SEO strategies, keeping the spying eyes of Google in view. No matter, we care for the (search) giant out of love or fear. But my question is, “Does Google care for us? Does Google care for you?” Hmmm…Difficult to answer!
I would like to say that the search engine may care for you but not as much as it does care for such international brands Amazon, eBay, New York Times, London Times, USA.gov and likes. Google care varies from brand to brand and differs on the basis of multiple different things. It is what most of us don’t know or we find difficult to understand.
Google is a product based service company. It is an eminent brand. To retain its brand value, the search engine constantly strives to better its products than the best. It has its own search quality testing parameters, based on which it distributes ranking to websites. Besides, it collects data on the search quality of websites, negative or positive, on a regular basis. There are many sources where Google collects the data from.
At times, the search engine encounters some or the other problems while managing the data, evaluating the search quality of websites and distributing ranking to them. It initiates the process of fixing the problems by implementing its techniques. The fixing of problems is treated as a test case which Google uses to improve its algorithmic structure.
Live data testing is another procedure that the search engine performs. The principal objective of this testing is to find out the real world metrics which help Google check if the search quality of websites has improved. If you think carefully of the way the search engine
Whenever Google makes changes in its algorithm, it targets the websites whose search quality drops with the introduction of algorithmic changes. Thus the search engine result page ranking of those websites falls. The SERP ranking of the websites whose search quality is in keeping with the algorithmic changes is not hit.
It is not necessary that the SERP ranking is always associated with the content quality of websites. Despite having original and optimized content, a website may suffer a hit by Google’s algorithmic changes due to other negative factors, to say spamming link building techniques.
You have submitted articles to three or four article directories. If Google finds problem with those directories and hits their ranking negatively, your links from the articles submitted to those directories will be considered spamming. As a result, your website will go down in the search engine results.
Instead of blaming Google for hitting your website, contact a SEO professional and get your website analyzed. SEO diagnosis is required to find out issues with the on-page and off-page aspects of your website. The SEO expert will put your website in sync with Google and its guidelines.
